Poem by Hollie McNish — Animation by breathingjuice

This animation has been created without audio as part of the Smile for London exhibition — Word in Motion and will be screened on the Underground platform screens for two weeks from 16th January 2012.

Baby Sleep

When I’ve had a week of 12am 3am 5am wakes
A new mum awake in a zombie like state
When you do go to sleep
And I need to sleep too
I spend another three hours just gazing at you

Smile for London invited London’s budding and established poets to uplift and inspire commuters during the bleakest month of the year with poems or prose of up to 40 words.

breathingjuice has been invited to be a guest animator for this years Smile for London moving image exhibition Word in Motion — the poem that I’m animating has been written by the very talented Hollie Mcnish.
A bit more info from Smile for London

The pieces are being transformed by leading motion artists into 20-second-typographic-films, to be screened on the Underground platform screens for two weeks from 16th January 2012

It’s great to be part of this again — breathingjuice was selected as top 20 competition entry in 2011 with Smiling is also contagious.
The illustrations used within the final 20 second animation have been created by the brilliant illustrator Jessica Nash. Can’t wait to see all the other animations at next week’s launch party and I’ll post more info on my completed animation sequence once the exhibition is live.

Through the powers of a Retweet I landed a project to help muirhoward on a pitch for a potential new financial client.
breathingjuice quickly put together a motion graphics sequence to showcase an animated version of a new branding concept. Gotta love a pitch process — full on for a few days but sometimes it’s great to work under that kind of pressure. If only there was the ability to fit two days into one…

breathingjuice is creating a motion graphics intro and title sequence for the Refugee Support Network.

Refugee Support Network exists to resource, enable and work with refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants in London and the wider world.  We specialise in providing education support to separated children and those affected by conflict.

There’s some final edits to be made but I’ll post up the finished video asap.

breathingjuice is currently working on a new website for Dil Green Architect.

The special responsibility of the architect is to be the person who develops, understands, communicates and strengthens the living character that alone can make a building or place truly and sustainably beautiful.

It will be built in WordPress and launch asap — more info on that soon.
